Why do we have to exhale through the nose?

Taking the salt pipe into our mouth we have to inhale through it, and blow the air out through the nose. We do not have to take deep breath, we should breathe with normal intensity. This is very important, because this is the only way that the salt crystal-mixture can reach the upper respiratory tracts (maxillary sinus..) and that’s how it cleans the whole breathing system.
